    hi, just a general question about a bosch double oven sorry no model no but hinge part nos are 260797 and 260798 the question is ive fitted these new hinges twice within the last 2 years due to the door not closing properly, i suspected the customer resting something on the door ..pull down type and damaging the hinges…she swears blind she doesnt 😕 …. anyone else any ideas why these keep going..thanks

    Have you replaced the hinge bearings?

    no but when i fit new hinges it cures the problem of door not closing properly..ie door snaps closed to seal

    The hinge springs aren’t usually packed much with lubricant so perhaps it worth slapping on loads of silicone grease to them before fitting?

    been a common issue over the past years. Double check you have the right part numbers though as the stainless doors have different ones to the glass doors, although they do fit, the spring rates are different.
