    Help Help Help ive got a Indesit Evolution 1200 WE12s its only 13 months old and its died of death already, there”s no display on the front its digital, ive brought a new eprom from indesit for the board thinking it was that and had it soldered on still no joy at a total loss now my dad got a new door switch saying it might be that still the same with a electrical screw driver tester can”t think what the right name is when you put the tester on the on off switch there”s power there to the on off switch, but when you press the button in it kills the power so there is a fault some where but where so any ideas any one would be much appreciated thanks…………? 🙁

    A neon test screwdiver is not a suitable diagnostic tool for this type of work.

    From experience it would suggest a failure of the main computer board, always assuming that all plugs and connectors have been replaced correctly.

    I would suggest getting some help – it may be cheaper in the long run – you could be buying and fitting bits forever before nailing it.

    Cheers for the reply when you say the main computer board is that the Module which sits at the bottom of the washing machine ? Quick question about the Eprom i got, when Indesit send out new Eprom chips i take it they are already programmed flashed etc its just i was on some web site and i was reading about someone had the same problem as me well sort of and his new eprom came not programmed he had to send it back was that just a one of or do they come blank ? cheers again…..

    hi Fox.

    the eprom should be allready (flashed) programmed. is it in a holder or was it soldered into the pcb, if so was ESD soldering equipment used to do it as the eprom may have been damaged by the solering operation.
    just a thought.
