    Hi,

My 3 year old manged to open the pump door and pulled the pump out of the washing machine.

    It’s a John Lewis JLWD1408 washer dryer.

Tried to put it back in but I can only push into the black abyss and ot sure where it connects to internally. Trying to get the back off to look at the inside but do any of you have any idea if this is a simple job worth doing myself or is it best to get someone to get an expert in.

    Thanks,

It is fully explained how to do that in your own copy of the user instruction booklet :rtm:

It is just a conventional (anticlockwise to undo, clockwise to refit) threaded filter unit. No force required, however, look carefully inside that “abyss” because there may be debris that has fallen into the vacant cavity. It may need removing before you can refit it?…… Do your best, no technical experience required as your little 3 yr old has proved, so far at least….!
