my indesit dishwasher seems to be stuck in a constant intermittent drain cycle with no lights showing at all, i have tried disconnecting the power supply but just go back into the same cycle when reconnected

Just puzzled to how you can have a constant yet intermittent fault?
Could be a flooded base, unplug, tilt it to one side, if water runs out then the base is flooded, you will need to find out why.

hi iadom, when dishwasher is switched on, you can here the pump running and water entering the dishwasher for about 3mins, then it will do nothing for about 1min and it constantly repeats this process, but even though it is switched on i’m getting no lights at all

At the start of every programme the pump should run for a short while then stop before the machine starts to fill. Indesit dishwashers are not very high up the quality ladder and do have rather flaky electronics.
It could be a module failure but it would be worth checking out all of the components for earth faults, especially the main motor and heater. Also a visual examination of the wiring to look for any problems.
Has it been moved recently or has the drain outlet pipe been touched?

It’s been in situ for about 3 years without ever been moved,i done a load in it, then about an hour later I noticed the noise of the pump

Worth dragging it out to check on the plumbing, it’s not unknown for small furry ‘friends’ to nibble through he hoses at the rear causing problems, shouldn’t cause all the lights to go out though???
The pcb is in the base at the front on these, prone to shorting or burning out as well. 😥
