ParticipantForgive me if this has already been answered – I’ll try to detail what I’ve already attempted
When I switch on the machine after a delay the washing enhance light starts blinking. This is the top light of five.
I’ve taken out the PCB and I’ve replaced all the relays in case it was a faulty heater relay. I also cleaned out the filter round the back in the black rubber sump. Also checked the connections for the heater with a meter and got a reading of 31 ohms.
I tried another wash and the machine looked to be working. The water was heating – could feel it through the glass. It then drained away the water and the flashing lights came on again. So there was no rinsing and no spinning.
If I try to select rinse and spin only the program just aborts and the blinking lights come on again.
I replaced the brushes back in November so I don’t think that is causing any issues.
Would appreciate any help at all thanks

Your mentioned “blinking lights” so is it not just the top LED flashing now or have others as well joined in?

Sorry for the confusion – just the top light – wash enhance.
The on/off blinks rapidly too but I’m assuming this is normal when there is a fault

Well the error indicates a heater relay fault but that is just a guide and nothing more. Therefore it could also be : Corrupted PCB, Bad connection between heater and board, insulation issue with heater and all points in between TBH. They are a nightmare ain’t they just? 😉

Don’t really want to fork out for a new PCB if that’s not going to definitely fix things.
What would you suggest?

Can’t blame you for that. Why not then send it the EMW Electronics for them to test it?

Commonly known as the ‘dreaded 8 flashes’. 🙁 can also be pressure switch, a change in the wind direction or a combination of everything you have tried plus anything else you can think of. It’s such a pain of a fault to cure that I will not even go out to an eight flash/f08 call, been out of pocket too many times.
