Hey all, I’ve a whirlpool awg338 that I replaced a drain pump on due to intermittent draining as all else seemed good.
Now I’m told that its completing the wash and going thru the full drying time but at the end of the cycle it’s full of water and the door is unlocked.
Anyone?
My thought initially was the restrictor, but I then thought that the pump should still be able to pump out any excess water that may come in.
Is the pump out schedule during the dry cycle continuous or long enough to pump out extra water that may come in if the valve is passing or the restrictor is blown out?
If its not I assume one or both of you are spot on.
I dunno if the pump runs all the time on dry or not but as you say it would clear the water anyway during the duration of the dry cycle. I would imagine the problem starts after the dryer has stopped and water continues to trickle in before the user gets chance to empty the machine?
I spoke to him this avo to say I’d call out tomorrow and check the solenoid and he just informed me that it works fine on the 90 degree wash and dry!!!
