Hi All, looking for some advice, looked at maytag GC2228EED5, problems with cube solenoid and auger motor only being supplied with 70vac and the auger motor had signs of overheating on the plastic casing so I changed it to no effect, looked at wiring diagram to see that both components get their feed from the control module, no signs of burning on the module, changed the module and without activating ice or water it tried to do all 3 things blowing the top 3 resistors on control module, put old module back on, appliance works ok, makes ice but doesn’t rotate or distribute from ice bucket, still only 70v to both components. No short to earth using megger but between live on neutral on mains in have just 10 ohms, could the module supplied been incorrect, would i need the display module as well as there could be a communication error between the two boards and why could I only have 10ohms between live and neutral on mains. Everything else works!! Any help would be appreciated, regards ace

The signs of burning (browning) on the ice enclosure is not unusual, they do go discoloured as the motor tends to generate a bit of heat when churning up the ice. I would start by checking out the solenoid for the ice crusher. But also the solenoid in the dispenser. This can take out the board.
Just a little pointer, when you are checking the auger motor / ice bin, ensure you make the door switch. Its easy to forget the door needs to be closed. If you havent figured that?
