ParticipantAnybody heard of this one before? Machine completes a program, and unless the customer intervenes, starts the same program over again. ❓
Sound like one for Iadom 😀

Can’t say I have come across that one, could be sticking buttons on the facia pcb, heater earth faults, outside guess sticking pressure switch..???
Have you actually seen it happen?
I can send you the manual if you think it might help.
PM me an email address if you want it.

I dunno Jim, it’s a bit of a weird one. I went out to it a few weeks ago for “program taking a long time ” problem. Checked it over and couldn’t find anything wrong, no fault codes etc. Self tests worked ok. She phoned me yesterday to tell me what it was doing as she watched it happen. I’m presuming one of the boards, but which one? Reluctant to get too involved as it is an oldish machine, but otherwise lightly used and in good nick.

Odd one for sure, I would have to actually see it happening myself first though. If it works fine and shuts off correctly on rinse and spin only programme then it would point to something overheating or breaking down during the wash cycle???

Had the same happen once on one of the first hybrid timers years ago.
If you spend any money on it at that age, the spider’ll go the following week.

My thoughts exactly Mike.

You could suggest she plug it into a plug-in timer at the wall socket and / or use the rinse hold programme.

had one about a month ago do this. customer said it started to fill after it had finished. actually started filling in front of me as I was just about to walk out of the door. solenoid valve kicked in for a few seconds and then stopped then started pulsing. then the appliance kicked into the last program.
boiled down to the user board ribbon cable had faint cracks on the joints and verdigris on the copper strips. it was causing a short on the signal to the module. the appliance was written off as the part is obsolete in Peterborough stores at Hotpoint -
