Went to machine 914674010/01 and customer complains of Timer was difficult to turn and now does 3 Hour wash. Turns out that cam has jumped out of bush and program indicator is not lined up. He appears to be selecting boil wash by accident. Refitted knob in correct position but timer is making creaking noises when it turns(have cleaned it). Knob is also not in middle of facia hole. Does this mean i need a new timer to stop this happening again? He did not know that knobs push in and found cupboard door is leaning against it. Am thinking timer shaft is bent, or is this a common problem with this type of knob assembly?

    Cheers

    Hi Simon,
You might contact EMW and get a recon. Tony will want the timer number, yours is about £35 IIRC.

    Contact them on http://www.emwelec.co.uk

    Regards,
    Chris.

If you have the number from your old timer then we can supply a recon one instantly by first class post. Don’t forget we talk timers and modules all day long so we usually send the correct one AND we will take it back for a £4.70 handling charge even if it’s been fitted & working for 3 weeks. AND we guarantee them for 12 months just like a new one. AND we can often supply the matching module for just £5 extra if you fit the timer and module together. AND we offer technical advice if the parts don’t fix the problem. New One ? Let’s face it, wholesale suppliers just don’t understand them and don’t offer any backup. Tony. EMW 01623 647537

    Simon,
    It’s 1320558-10/7, an AKO VS80. Personally, I’d take Tony’s advice – you’ll get it on Wednesday!

    Cheers,
    Chris.
