Hi I have a creda TCR2 condenser dryer, the other day it wouldnt heat up so i checked the thermos for continuity and one of them was broke, (not the one with the spot on), so i replaced it with an old working one from my old element housing (changed broken element with new one about 2 years ago, that came with new thermos) the old working thermo is black but the new broken one is white,so it had one black thermo and one white with a orange spot on, it worked for about an hour, then again wouldnt heat up, so dropped the newer white one on the floor it worked again fro about an hour, just wondered if there could be something underlying that is blowing the thermos, also wanted to know how you find out the part codes for these thermos, thanks dave.

    Re: thermostat

The reason for failure is often due to the dryer being turned off before the last 10 minutes ‘cool down period’ has been allowed to finish. That results in the ‘one shot’ thermal fuse blowing ( the one you describe )

So remember the importance of that cool down period and never stop the dryer before it stops itself automatically. The correct parts you need are HERE 😀

thanks for the quick reply, the problem i have is that not sure which thermos to buy, as this is a replacement element that came with 2 white thermos (one with an orange spot, which has 36FXE14 20166 L150c V1014 printed on the side, the other with no spot has 36TXE11 14288 L106-20c V1014) and the thermos in the original element were black ones, (one with a white spot on not sure of the numbers on these ones as i cant read them, they are on the top in very small letters.

also what do these different coloured spots mean, i know there are quite a few different ones and dont wanna order the wrong ones, thanks dave.
