ParticipantHi guys,
Ser:-1220192208
The above tumble dryer will not heat, tried a new heater unit and PCB to no avail? it rotates fine etc – just cold
Any ideas? Also another Beko DC7041W (exactly the same model but different TD)
The drum will not kick off turning, yet with the slightest of pushes it starts and cracks on fine? Ive tried the capacitor but its definately not that? Thanks

Hi,
Don’t know this machine, and others may have alternative ideas, but for the No Heat one I’d check for an open circuit thermostat in the heating circuit. For the Push to Start one it could be that the start windings in the motor itself have broken, should be able to check for open circuit coil.

looks like it may be part of the safety recall regarding capacitor

Thanks guys, I cant see anything other then an NTC on the non heating one which seems fine – its really strange.
And the push start one has already had the modification kit fitted, so i tried 2 different (new) caps on it to no avail.

I’m not familiar with Beko stuff but surely there is a safety stat or exhaust stat of some kind in the circuit and not just a PCB and NTC?

Clearly, as mentioned previously, the start windings are stuffed or ‘The Beko Boys’ have broken the capacitor lead to the motor. Quick check: If part of the windings aren’t burnt to a crisp then there’s probably a subtle break in the cap lead. 😉
