This will seem like a pretty stupid question, especially as I’ve had this machine for a very long time. How do you tell whether the heat setting is on high or low? There’s nothing on the switch to indicate, nor is there anything in the user manual. Thanks for helping a pretty dim newbie.

From what I can see and, I’m not familiar with the tumble dryer itself, it loos as if it’s a single heat model so there is no high or low. If it’s for following care labelling instructions, assume it’s high.

Thanks K, but why would it have a low heat button? It definitely functions but there is no indicator light and the switch does not reset at the end of the cycle of when the machine is switched off.

The switch does seem to toggle between two states which can be identified by pushing with light pressure against the spring of the switch button.
In one state the button moves in a small extent before meeting resistance and in the second state it goes in further before meeting resistance.

The user manual is for WTA 31.. but it doesn’t say “for this or that model only” so I assume all WT 31’s are the same in that respect.

Thanks for reading all this, if anyone gets to the end 😀

Pinkshoes, button is ‘low heat’ so selecting it (pushing in) selects low heat. Wiz

You’d think it would be that simple Wiz, and perhaps it is. I can’t be certain though because when you push it, it goes to one of two states (as I explained above) but it still looks the same. I think I’ll sit in side and see which is the hotter setting 😀

When button is more floppy, switch is selected, so low heat.
