indesit IS70C not collecting water problem

Hi all

Got a serious problem with this dryer, customer says the empty water light is on and no water coming into container at the top, when i left the red light had gone and all seemed to be working fine, checked for blockages replaced pump and float but obviously still hasnt sorted it, I was thinking maybe a leak on the machince is making the float active or am i missing something???? any help would be appreciated.
