I attended this tumble dryer and it was not heating so I replace the stats. All ok but there are lots of fluff inside the machine about 1cm thick all around.
I hoovered up the fluff and it filled the bag.
I know that tumble dryer do get fluff inside but this one is about ten years old, should I do something about it? I am unsure if this was due to gradual build up of fluff over ten years or the seals are worn. The only thing I can find is rear drum seal. Would this seal solve the problem?
I remember on the Indesit IS60V, I replaced the bearings along with the seals, there is a some sort of black felt thing that you put inside the groove around the front opening. Can this be done with this Hotpoint? If so, what are the part number or would I be better off replacing the bearings and seals as it comes in a kit like this one… HPTC00113038?
