Hi,
Can anyone advise how to replace the front counterweight on this machine please.
It was making a terrible knocking noise so I took a look and found half of the weight had broken off.
I’ve bought a new one but am scratching my head at how to get at it to replace it, as the front cover seems to be spot welded to the body of the machine.

Normally the drum has to come out of the top BUT I have done these with out removing it.
Remove the back panel and put its on its back. You need a very short torx bit on to undo the bolts
Otherwise remove the tank out the top of the machine.

Make sure the lugs on the front of the drum are intact. I have had two this week with the weights off and it had ripped the lugs right off the front of the drum. Both machines BER. 🙁

Great advice. Put it on its back and managed to reach through the drum to the bolts. Got them loose and part way out with a torx. Had to use an allen key to get them fully out once they were loose enough, torx too long.
Old one out, new one in, back together and its running. Drum fixings seemed ok. I’ll see if its fixed the knocking when it gets to the spin cycle, but so far so good.
