    Hi all

Have this machine in for repair, customer complained that it was missing 20 and sometimes 30 mins from certain programmes.

Have this morning tried it on acottons 75 degreee wash.
Dsplay shows 1H 56M at start, it takes in water to fill sump
(Please note this model has the motorised valve at the back of the soap box, and only has the one inlet solenoid)

So you can hear the motorised valve operating to let water in through main wash compartment, machine then tumbles a few times, and then its at this point the timer drops 20 mins off..

I have noticed the water inlet is momentarily energised at this exact time.

If i knock the power off at front of machine, then put it back on, the normal time is then restored..

    So my theorys are

    1: dodgy inlet valve?
2: the heater is energised at about the same time, so could be that?

Have tried it on the automatic wash setting and seems to workmas it should.

    any ideas most welcome..

most machine do an approximate time till you start them and then correct this when the water comes in ( ie water can be very cold or warm )
what you have to ask is does this affect the washing if not then why bother about it

Good point! I did explain this to the customer at first, but she was adamant that it had a problem

So i have since tried it with a half load, and a full load..on the full load it does the full time initially shown.. So will put it down to customer not putting enough in..

Did megger heater etc, but found no fault whatsoever..

    Thanks for your input though..

    Martin
