ParticipantI have a fault with my Hotpoint aquarius + (WMF760).
The fault:
When the machine gets to the last 5/6 minutes which is the spin cycle function an error comes up F11 and you can hear the drainage pump constantly draining. What I have done to try and fix this fault:
• Checked the wiring near the drainage pump etc and all looks ok
• Removed and cleaned all drainage pipes including the filter
• Checked the drainage pump is working okI am out of ideas, except for trying to reset the pcb/fault but as the machine is always on pause I cannot get this to work even if this might correct the issue ?

F11 does point to a problem with th pump, but it maybe worth checking the motor brushes..this may be the problem, especially if it only bappens on the start of the spin cycle..

Thanks for your response, the washing programmes work if I do not select the spin programme at the end ? tested to see at 400, 600, 800 but only works if no final spin

Sorry guys, but can anyone help?. Hotpoint are saying it sounds like the pcb board and only they can fix this ? – Shall I replace the brushes ? just can’t understand why the machine works fine, but not when it does the spin cycle at the end to dry the clothes.

Had an f11 machine fault this week. I have not been able to tie it down to what’s caused it yet, only happen when spinning. Its posable the pump is shorting out or going OC after its been one a bit. iv ordered board and pump for it
As for yours you could try replacing the pump first but being honest I’d bet its a board issue.

How are you going to re-programme the board ? Hotpoint say they can only do this. You don’t happen to live near Hertfordshire/St.Albans ?

Anyone can reprogrammed the board as long as they are prepared to pay around £100 for the card reader and £20 or so for a one use only smart card. 😉

Hi
Did you manage to sort out the problem?
Mine is doing exactly the same, goes through the cycle but F11’s during the last spin. If set just on a spin it cannot get to top speed. The pump appears to be working properly, all pipes, filters etc have been cleaned and there are no blockages that we can find.
I am not sure if it is a PCB problem as the machine attempts to spin but something seems to be stopping it. Surely if it was a PCB problem it would not be sending the signal to start the spin.
The black sump hose and filter was quite blocked with gunge and hair etc but that is all clean now.
Any suggestions please?
Oh and mine is a Hotpoint Ultima WMD960 approx 3 years old.

Does sound like a board problem. You could always get the board repaired. Emw electronics. I’ve used them a few times and are quite good

Are you sure the tacho magnet is tight,if you can turn this by hand,it can cause erratic spin and wash speeds !

The brushes are located in the rear of the motor, usually held in with 2 screws either side of the plastic housing.. If they are around a half inch or less then they need repalacing..
