Hi Guys, I have been to above cooker to replace a front hob element, but after taking new element out of package find that the connections are numbered differently from original. The connections look the same but when I connected them up I’m not sure that the combination of elements are energising in the correct order. The element is controlled by a 6 heat switch. Does anyone have wiring or connection diagram for this replacement element part no DST3890880010?

Could do with some labels on the picture but if I am looking at them correctly then the old element has different numbers on the top and bottom for the same terminals.
Going by the top view photos alone I think that the physical order of connection to the elements is the same even though the numbering is different.

    2 is now 3
    1 is now 4
    3 is now 1
    2a/b is now 2(2a)

Note: This is only what I would be trying going on the photos alone.

Thanks Jem, but if connected in the same order to the new element the element does not regulate correctly.

has the switch been changed at any time as there is a mod to the wiring for that, i causes the element to increase at the lower settings.
