Hi, Im in the process of doing a tub change to the above (pnc no. 914 01 6133 01 serial number – 63034895).
I have a s/hand welded type tub that was in another AEG machine model L52810. Apart from the counter balance weighs been different the tub layout is the same and has fitted into the machine as a direct swap. I managed to swap the weights over but the one thing remaining different is the drum pulley. The Machine im repairing is an 1800rpm and the pulley is more like an aluminium dinner plate rather than a spoke type pulley. The motor is an induction motor and when the motor stops turning, the drum motion seems to stop almost instant as though it’s braked. Everything has lined up and it’s ready to water test and load test but was a little bit concerned with the different pulley. I have tried removing the spoke pulley to see if I could change it over regardless but the torx bolt is solid and I have managed to snap 3 t-50 pieces while attempting to remove it. Anybody got any ideas please?
I’ve often managed to get the zanussi ones out using a cold chisel and hammer.I know it sounds brutal but if the head is countersunk the taper is tight and needs a good belt.Whatever happened to proper engineering?
