This extracter fan/hood was already installed in our property when we moved in, but found a sticker inside saying the model number.

Everything has been working fine for about 9 months, and then suddenly nothing turns on, no light, no fan, nothing.

Have checked our fusebox, nothing blown, and everything else in the kitchen is working fine.

Does anyone know where to look or what to do to find out the cause of it?

If it needs repairing (ie too complicated for simple DIY), is a local electrician best, or someone who specialises in kitchen appliances?

    Thanks for any help.

The fault will be the push button PCB.

You can fit a new one or you can solder a wire across the melted solder track on the PCB.

You can get an electrician or an appliance engineer to repair.

The PCB can blow if a bulb blows so it is advisable to fit 2 new bulbs at the same time.

The PCB’s are between £30 to £40 pounds depending where you purchase them from.

    Hi Bob,

Many thanks for your quick help.
Just to be sure, this would be the PCB labelled “W0000059 – Hygena & Diplomat Cooker Hood Switch PCB” which I found on the ukwhitegoods shop site?

    Thanks again,

    Marcus
