Miele s7210 vacuum

Got one of these brought into the workshop for a cable repair but looking at the exploded diagrams it comes complete as an assembly,has anyone had any sucess getting into the handle,thing is the cable from miele is £100.00 😯 so I don’t want to take any risks!!
