This machine. Came with F11 fault code. Seized drain pump due to coins and nails jamming(open circ), replaced with new pump (201 ohms readings). Plugged in, meggered it, low readings (124 mohms) due to partly worn brushes and dirty motor. Changed brushes and clean motor. Meggered it again, readings in excess of 2000mohms.

Spins ok, still now drain pump action. Am I looking at faulty board? Me thinks burnt drain pump cooked the board?

Which one would that be on the front top or on the rear bottom?

Have you had a good look at the tracks on the board.

It will be the lower board. I wouldn’t class 124M ohms as low. Perfectly acceptable & not worth investigating.

Thanks, 124M ohms was not the readings I am used to seeing with Hotpoint washers especially the WF range. I prefer it to be much higher and in fact the brushes were running out (1cm left) and the motor was filthy. The numbers were dropping which gave me cause for concern. After I cleaned it up and replaced the brushes, the readings went over 2000M ohms and stabilised. I just need to rule it out before suspecting the boards.

The original problem was that it was not turning and draining, when I arrived I thought it was the brushes but when I came to switch it on to get it pumped the water out but it showed up F11 fault. The pump was jammed thus burnt the motor out hence the open circuit readings.

I will have a look on the lower board.

There are no burnt tracks on the upper board in the facia – clean as a whistle.
