❓ Got an LG Frost free fridge freezer.LG409GPA.
At present the freezer compartment seems to be working but the fridge part is warm.
I am also unable to use the temp controls at the top.
Any ideas of what could be the problem and help to resolve it would be appreciated.

I am also unable to use the temp controls at the top.Sounds like it could be an electronic fault – but only an engineer can provide a full diagnosis. Look in repairs@ for a local engineer or pop up your postcode.

Most of the electronic programable ones have fault diagnostic built into the controls.
The fridge warm and freezer ok is quite a common reported fault, which can be over-icing of the freezer evaporator. without running diagnostics you can only switch it off and allow a defrost period of 24 hours(freezer door open), to see if…..when switched back on the fridge cools down. If so over-icing was the reason but not the fault, you still need to investigate(engineer) why it happened.

I turned it off and then on after 36 hours and seems to working just fine.

Keep a close eye on yor freezer – you may have defrosted an ice build up inside your freezer but if there is a fault the ice will build up again!
