ParticipantHi all
This machine washes fine but when it comes to spin out the cycle lasts forever, it ramps up to full spin speed nicely and holds it there for nearly a minute before going back to tumble and doing it again and again and again and………..
It will do this with and with out any form of load, the insulation check comes out perfect and there is plenty of life in the brushes, no error codes are displayed, it is is as if after spinning for a minute it thinks it is out of balance and must do it again but spins perfectly central and smoothly with out any load in it.
Ideas please (note: I already have a lump hammer standing by)

:boops: Forgot that this is a 3 phase machine – serves me right for thinking about 2 machines at once.

😀 Main PC is off now, I might have a manual for this you can have, will send it tomorrow , sounds like a main pcb fault though.

Should have mentioned in my first post that the main PCB has just come back from EMW as a “No Fault Found” – I haven’t been back to refit it yet (probably going back tomorrow). Yes please on the manual.
Thank you

There are some faults that even EMW’s tests don’t show up, this is possibly one of them, unless the current Indesit lads know better. I had an ISE (Beko) machine a few weeks ago that ran through every cycle perfectly but then stuck in a continuous spin cycle for hours. Nothing showed on the diagnostics but a new pcb cured it.

Endless spin is either motor/tacho circuit or pump related,
On brushed motor models check the half field wire in the harness and motor as if its open circuit the motor will never reach full speed and the module just keeps trying to achieve the set spin speed,
all models check pump is draining fine, I have seen pumps cause this, no real reason apart from changing the pump and the problem goes away, modules are also a cause this , a problem in the OOB or tacho circuit seems to be the issue,
Check all the harnesses to the motor and pump, if its draining ok and the pump AND sump are clear(Iv seen so many socks in sumps missed worth a check) I’d bet its an issue with the board, as has been said EMW can’t test everything, Iv even seen it resolved with a reprogram of the eeprom.

Went back and fitted the module today and it all works 😯 Not sure if EMW reprogram boards as standard even for a no fault found but I can think of no good reason why it should suddenly work otherwise.
