    Hi
    This is my first post on whitegoods…:)

    I’m having a problem with my Candy Grand GO FS 262:
    So yesterday I decided to do a routine inspection of the filter which we usually do every month.
    All looking well I replaced it and started a wash, low and behold water started spilling through the filter out onto the floor. First thoughts were that it was maybe cross-threaded or not in far enough but when checked it was secure.

    I’ve inspected the inner housing and all looks clean, threads both on the filter and innner casing also look good. Thinking maybe that there was an o-ring in there at some point as I can see a recess where it looks like one may go. (Thought I would have noticed that before though)

    Starting to run out of ideas now and really needing the washer back on the go! I’ve tried PTFE tape round the threads but no avail. Still gushes out even with a mug of water poured into the drum.

    Thinking about ordering a replacement filter:

    but really cant see any difference to the one I have.

    If you have any ideas it would be more than appreciated, as the washing is starting to mount up 🙂

    Problem sorted…

    Due to excessive vibration the filter had moved out of allignment with it housing. Although I had a couple of turns on the thread (and coincidentally it lined up correct) It needed another full turn to create the seal.
    Re-alligned & some muscle!…well stillys

    So fix one problem (filter/pump leak) and another pops up…
    Ran a quick ’32 wash with a fairly heavy load of wet towels (from mopping up last job).
    Should be a 30 degree wash but glass door was very hot and towels came out steaming. Has happened on a previous wash too.

    Thinking it might be a thermistor/thermostat problem.
    Anyone had any similar problems? or any ideas?
