    Re: bosch fire

Highly Intelligent people, they know the machine is on a list of dnagerous appliances & they’re waiting for the engineer to call. So instead of unplugging the machine & not using it, they appear to carry on regardless & leave it on overnight. Wonder how much compensation they’ll be after.

No idea, but if it’s on a list of Dangerous appliances then anyone with a quarter ounce of brain matter should be able to work out that it should’nt be used for themselves.

In reply to madangler, Bosch are telling people to “continue to use the machines though not un-attended”.

Seems a bit wreckless to me.

Wonderful customer care, sorry madam your appliance is dangerous but it’s ok to keep using it as long as you watch it.
I’m with you Bo: Wreckless to put it mildly.

Can’t really blame the customer as Bosch aren’t saying to stop using it

Clearly they need to review this policy, they obviously are a high risk a s need to be treated as such.

Bosch has just provided RecallUK with the latest number of recalled dishwashers they have managed to find and repair.

Of the 632,000 recalled in the UK (across Bosch brands) they have managed to find and repair 152,957.

This is 24{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the affected units and up 1.3{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} on the figure for September 2012.

These recalled dishwashers are between eight and 13 years old and many will have been scrapped.

Bosch is reluctant to provide an estimate of how many of these dishwashers they would expect to no longer be in use.

In theory, this leaves us with 478,940 potentially dangerous dishwashers still in people’s homes.
