Indesit moon sixl145 pcb fault ? eprom question

Hi i have an indesit moon i aquired for free the problem is as follows when plugged in door shut the power button segment illuminates if a program button is pushed all segments of the program selector illuminate then fade but the door lock does not activate and the program fails to start i have substituted the door lock for a known good one power is getting to this still no joy im now facing the fact it may be the pcb failing to trigger something any thoughts as to what areas to look at on the pcb also i have another indesit pcb which appears to be identical in construction but is from a different type of machine so will clearly have a different eprom ? If i unsolder the moons eprom and place it in the other pcb does this mean that board is then programmed for the moon ?
