    Hi
The washing machine is on the blink!!!

Power getting to everything but when I select a programme it fails to get pass the washing cycle.
All three water valves are working OK.
Power is getting to the water heater terminals and I can hear the immersion heater heating the water.
The water level vacuum switch seems to be working as well.
If I fill the machine up with hot water from an external source the machine does go through its cycle.
There seems to be what I asume is a temperature sensor on the heater. Could this be the problem or is it just the Immersion heater itself.
Regretably my test meter is broken and I am relying upon a test lamp – not very satisfactory!!

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards

Hi: You should’nt be working on the appliance while live.
You say that the machine will fill & run, but nothing about it emptying out. If the machine does’nt empty due to a blockage, faulty pump or pump not being energised then it won’t go into spin.
