Please somebody help.We are in the process of installing our first ever kitchen and have come up against a brick wall.We would like a built under double oven with an induction hob above. Are there any brands that allow this .I realise I will need 2 separate feeds from the fuse board but I understand there may be issues regarding the clearance between the two appliances. If anybody can recommend two compatible appliances I will be eternally grateful.marc.

    Hi

You will need 2 x 6mm feeds from your consumer unit. I have a induction hob directly above a double oven without any problems but you must ensure that you leave a 5-10mm gap between the front top of your oven to your worktop. As the worktop overhangs anyway you wont see it but it will allow air flow to both units.

Thanks Bryan. The work top is 40 mm thick and most induction hobs are about 50 mm I believe.can you recommend any makes ?

    Hi

As long as you have a 10mm gap between them and also the gap at the front then it should not cause a problem as the ovens rarely actually go to the top and touch the worktop, there is always a space.

I have a V ZUG steam oven and a CDA 60cm induction hob above and yes the hob is thicker than the granite worktop.
