Love the idea of topping up my carbon filter with the pellets from your shop. A replacement Neff filter costs nearly £80.

The filter in my Neff model is a rectangular one which had carbon pads rather than pellets. My first question is can I use pellets as a replacement for these ?

My second question is that I’ve had to remove the top felt like cover to get at the carbon pads to remove them. As a result that’s shredded and also needs to be replaced. What material can I use in its place ? Could I use a piece of cotton sheeting for example ?

The bottom felt covering is intact. I’ve washed it with washing up liquid to remove most of the grease. I think the material will be ok for this cycle of wash and reuse.

Thanks for any advice you might have.

    Hi

As you have the pad filter I assume the hood is recirculating the air back into the kitchen, if this is the case then you would need the correct filter to maintain a clean cooker hood and a smell free kitchen.

If you can duct the hood to the outside you would not need the recirculating kit at £80 odd, you would however need to clean the stainless steel filters regularly.

The pellets are only suitable for the circular fixed to motor end filters.

    HTH 😀

    Thank you Don

I’ll be honest though and say this wasn’t the answer I wanted to hear. I’d much rather recycle the old case & save money. The metal grilles are nice & clean tho.
