    The main burner (centre burner of the 5 burners) on our cooker has a reduced flame when tuned up full. It is as if the control knob has been turned down.

    We have had the cooker for around 6 years, and the problem started around 2 weeks ago.

    Are there any likely causes that I can look at myself before I get someone Gas Safe registered to take a look?

    Hi

    As this is a burner issue where the gas is not burning correctly then you MUST get a Gas Safe registered engineer to visit.
