Our machine s/n 606065105 I believe, sizzled for a couple of days then tripped the RCD. The heater element is very pitted, so I assume this is faulty. What test can I do to prove it is faulty and is it a simple task to remove the old one please.

    Thank you

    Paul.

Heater terminals can be accessed from the front at a pinch. If not you will have to drag it out and lie it on it’s left hand (from front) side and remove the base plate.

You need to do an insulation test on the heating element with the wiring connections removed. Be sure to remove the mains plug first.

Yep as iadom says it can be done through the RH hole in the lower front.

Very fiddley still far easier than dragging it out.

Thank you for the replies. Not a problem as the machine is already out with the bottom cover off.
