ParticipantHello All,
First time posting here, hoping someone can help me please?
The check water light came on and the dishwasher won’t drain – now I know why, I have removed the side and bottom panel and realised that the salt and soil/waste plastic container is totally grunged up – I have attached a couple of pictures to show what I mean.
I want to try and removed these to give them a thorough clean out but am stumped as to how I can remove this plastic container. . . .
Can someone try and help me please? I would really appreciate a step by step guide as to the removal of this item.
Thank you in advance.

It’s supposed to look like that.
The brown stuff is a resin.

Hello KWatt,
Thank you for replying.
I had ordered an Impeller jug and was in the process of changing it when I noted that!
So, back to Plan A and changing the Impeller jug.
Thank you very much

The Impellor jug causes fill problems, it does not stop the machine from emptying. 😉

hello Iadom,
It looks like the machine is draining as when I do a reset on the machine the water in the dishwashwer does drain away.
I came across the salt and resin reservoir (now I realise what the gunky stuff is now!) and thought it might not have been draining. Sorry for the confusion.
The check water light is coming on as soon as I turn the dishwasher on and have checked the inlet, outlet and wasted pipes, no problems there as far as I can see.
There was a piece of glass in the drain grill part of the washer which I’ve taken out but that has not cured the check water light.
Will change the impeller jug tomorrow and post how I get on.
One question though please before I attempt to change the impeller , and put the machine back, on the back of the washer, there is a green wire that comes out of the top, that was just wound around the plastic waste pipe and left, is that an earth wire and should it be hooked onto a metal pipe rather than just left there?

You can ignore that wire, it was used to hold the pipes before the machine was installed.

All Done and Working – very satisfying : ))
Changed the Impeller Jug – very fiddly but got there in the end.
Now the Missus will walk in and ask who really fixed it : (((
Excellent Forum – Thank you for your help – really appreciate it.
Even enough time for another project!!
