Please help, I have a Hoover OPH714D. It does everything except spin, despite error code 03. Did have error code 016 aswell but it seems to be ok now after cleaning the element sensor. Does any one have any idea what I need to do now?

Hi: Have you emptied the filter ? if the filter is blocked then the machine either won’t pump out or won’t pump out fully & it won’t go into spin. Also if it has a spin inhibit button, make sure that it has’nt been accidentaly pressed.

E016 is dispersion from the heater, on this model it can also bring up an e03 drain issue which isn’t actually the fault. Replace heater, check for lime scale build up also

Hi: Although from past experience we might have a fair idea what’s causing a posters problem. We allways get them to go through the simple things first & especially where something Electrical is concerned we allways ask them to make tests first to confirm a problem & not just jump in with fitting what could be an expensive replacement part.

sorry about that.. im sure theres other jobs out there? I do hope your selling plenty of 5 yr covers/ care & protect… that’s WAY more important than having 18 tubs in your back garden or having to tell the customer 14 visits in 3 months is quite normal….

however ur bang on with the heater diagnosis
