Hey everyone
I’ve got a Fridgemaster MTRF 242 fridge freezer that I’ve had for about six or seven years now and the freezer section is perfect and never causes me any problems but the fridge bit is a nightmare.
The back wall ices up really quickly and the little channel for the water to drain away down the hole gets clogged up, which means the salad crispers are now salad “freezers” and I can’t keep anything cold anymore – it’s almost like a second sub-freezer section now.
I’ve defrosted the whole unit completely, checked the drain hole for blockages and it seems fine. The door seal looks okay, but it’s difficult to see all the way round when it’s closed.
Whatever I do, within a couple of hours that black plate ices over and within two days the problem is back and everything’s frozen – and I’m left with veg and salad I can’t use and it’s driving me mad.
Can anyone suggest anything like a new door seal/thermostat or is it just a case of buying a new fridge freezer ?
Thanks for reading this ..
