Display totally dead, good continuity into main pcb.

Customer says it is only a couple of years old, does this module suffer from the same faults that the Whirlpool boards did a few years back with a resistor failing?

What was the outcome on this machine as I too have the same problem?

Board looks very clean, wondering if it’s the White capacitor box (12v doc 16a/250v) is the culprit?

Just that I had similar issue with a whirlpool dishwasher, summat to do with not powering up the PCB.

It’s a while ago now but I think the customer decided to buy a new machine.

you have to find the board power supply and see if you have got an output voltage.
if yes or if the voltage goes on and off its scrap new board need. if no power the board may be fixable

I brought the PCB home in the vain hope that I would be able to replace one of the box capacitor or voltage thingy, so how do you test it? (Edited this after googling – it’s the relay not capacitor that I was referring to.)

There’s no lights on the display and there is power going to the board but I do not know how to test it from the point of entry on the board to determine if there’s power or not.

Turns out it’s one of the resistors. The 33ohms 2watt version.
