Hi Everyone,
I wonder if you could help me, I have an indesit Fridge freezer
model number TAA 5 S fridge. Today I noticed that it is not cooling and the freezer had defrosted. I called an engineer and he told me to leave it on and he would be out this evening. He came out and said that the compressor is not pumping and it would be £180.00 to repair. I said I would need to think about it. He said I must leave it on and running. Can anybody tell me why as if it is not working surely it is safer to switch it off and unplug it. The engineer put a tube thing on the back and that’s how he diagnosed the problem. He did not check anything else. I am not sure what to do.
