I have a problem with an Indesit mod WDG1295W
It wants to turn the drum at full speed when it should only have a gentle tumbling action. Both during wash cycle and when drying. This results in the clothes becoming scorched whilst drying.
Had the motor out and the taco looks compleate. 😕
Could this be the control module is it worth sending away for repair?

Also been told about an Idesit that will do the wash program untill it reaches the spin cycle. Then the programer hunts round.
Told them to reset the programer but this has had no effect. Any thoughts?

    Kenny,

The likely culprit is the Control Module. Specifically it is likely the contacts on the connector plugs do tend to burn out on these 🙁

Not tragically expensive for a new Module and the burnt terminals on the connector plug can be turned around and refitted with careful ‘tweaking’ 😉

The dial clicking round doesn’t apply to your machine – it’s for newer appliances than yours.

As Martin suggested check the connections to the module for signs of burning.

Pull the plug out first :plug:

    Cheers blokes
Checked the control module and it is clean. No water marks no scorching so I think I will just change it anyway.

The other machine (hunting programer) is for someone at work. He took the motor off refitted it and now it is working fine 😳
    Dont know what he disturbed

    But thanks anyway
