    prod number 914601235/00.Washer Dryer
Oh what joy! Hope someone can help me.
Test Set on prog cotton 40 degree,no load. Starts, fills ,washes, heats, pumps out wash water at about 45 mins to end….so correct, then there`s the problem: it starts to tumble before it fills up on 1st rinse, which is ok,BUT some of these `tumbles` go from a stand still to a small spin= not good i presume, and basically the machine is stuck with the pump on repeating this sometimes tumbles sometimes spin forever, sometimes nothing and just sits there- the door remains locked….er weird! if you were to start on the rinse only programme i`e. in effect just past this position, the machine works a treat to the end of the whole cycle working as normal.
Things checked: motor tacho and magnet, m/brushes,p/swt`s, 3 way i/let valve, wash element, dryer elements, iffy wires, circ pump- circulating h2o ok, no fault codes appear.
    Anyone got any ideas please.

Sounds like the tacho is going O/C when it gets warm.

Yes a good point Jem and thanks for taking the trouble to reply. I`m going back on Tuesday and will experiment with the damn thing. Don`t think at this stage I want to go down the pcb route though it may well be this; think I kept a spare motor I can rob a tacho coil from to try it out. I`ll let you know how I fair.

Update: well we will never know what the solution was as the machine got scrapped- he bought a Hotpoint from Argos; he could`ve done worse of course!! Think, myself, it was the pcb rather than the tacho but just a guess.
