Hi all. The above dishwasher was supplied as part of a kitchen refit.

Basically I suspect that the water is not being pumped at sufficient pressure to rotate the top arm . Water is being pumped Into the unit and is being heated , if a programme is set it appears to finish in normal time without an error code.

Anything on the top rack is not washed properly – I suspect any washing that is taking place is as a result of steam rather than direct water impact

The unit does empty correctly at end of cycle.

I have checked the seating of the spray arm and that the seals are in god condition, which they are.

Can someone advise me how many pumps this dishwasher has? Does only have one for filling/washing/emptying ? In which case I guess there is some sort of valve somewhere which determines how it should behave.

    Many thanks

    Dave

Re: Diplomat HJA8630 problems with upper spray arm not rotat

Ok I think (or hope!) I have fixed this but for the benefit of anyone else who may suffer from this here is my resolution.

Firstly it is an HJA8640 not an 8630 as I first stated (I think the manual states 8630)

The reciculation pump is a separate pump and our case the pump had got some debris stuck in it which was reducing its pressure. I took the debris out and it now appears to be working correctly
