I switch on the machine and LEDs on front panel come on. I close the door and press start. The led for the “door closed” doesn’t come on. I leave it for 5 minutes and the display reads “door”. The door clicks and closes fine, no sign of anything loose. I ordered a door interlock and replaced it. Still the same problem. Any ideas?

Don’t have my main PC switched on so can’t check on the motor type.
If it has a brush gear motor and not a 3 phase motor then it may need new brushes. Could also be loose or broken motor plug connections, they are rather weak on these Indesit machines. If motor and all wiring connections on all components including the main pcb are fine then a pcb failure is a possible. 🙁
