weird door issue

    W/Pool ADG 7540
    Odd thing happens when I try to close the door, the little green light goes off just as the door is about to close, and the machine obviously wont run as the power is off,drop the door down again and the light comes on again any ideas ?? perhaps the reed switch is on its way out but I have never had it happen like this

    would agree with Franz but also check the supply, if hard wired to spur check the connections there first and if on plug check in different socket as burnt out connection can cause this type of fault.
