I have a Electrolux EDC 5330 which isn’t drying properly anymore. It runs fine, and the cloth gets a littel hot, but never dries.

I have tried disassembling the dryer, and espacially looked at the heating element.
It contains two thermostats, 36FXE14 and 36TXE11 and both is short circuit, and I cannot get power to the machine if I disconnect any of them.

However, it looks like it heating element never runs at full speed.
It consists of two heating spirals. One on 1400W, measuring 38 Ohm and 600W, measuting 88 Ohm, so this looks correct.

However, it never turns on the 1400W element? Shouldn’t it run with both on, untill it has heaten up?

Sounds like more of an airflow problem.

    What’s the PNC number?

    K.

I’m going to answer my own question.

Yes, it should turn on both heating spirals.

It turned out to be a burn around one of the soldering on a relay on the PCB.
Fixed with a little piece of copper wire, solderes directly on the PCB.
Both heating elments turn on now.
