    Hi all ,
    Back to my fave whitegoods fix it site 🙂

    Issue: Machine didn’t spin then the washing came out very hot even after I’d managed to get it to spin.

    Any ideas?

    I’m guessing it’s a thermostat of some kind.

    Also I went to check the pump and for some reason couldn’t remove the screw on cover – which I’ve done before – , is it just an anti clockwise motion and it might be a bit stiff?

    Sounds like you may have a blocked pump that is only partially operating and that you was has not actually finished but has terminated due to fault.

    Empty the pump and try the wash again

    Would that explain the overheat as well?

    It may not be an overheat.. it may be that the wash has got no further than heating the water due to the fact that it cannot pump out

    Issue: Resolved.

    Problem: pencils in the pump area.
