I have an almost six-year old Tricity Bendix AW1001W washing machine that has begun to leak. I have found white fibrous plastic material in the waste water outlet and subsequently located their source to the plastic inside the door next to the stainless steel drum. It looks like the drum is no longer stable and stripping the plastic next to the door. I think this is a serious problem and may mean the plastic drum has lost integrity. The spin cycle has also got louder. I am wondering whether a repair is possible and if so if it is economical to do so?

If it has got bad enough for the inner drum to be rubbing against the outer drum then it is almost certainly BER, Beyond economic repair. 🙁

It may even have a totally sealed drum assembly but we would need the pnc number from the rating plate to confirm, number begins 914********
