    Model 3288-6-kg

    have just fitted genuine AEG replacement stat, unit running fine, frezzer at correct temp. Problem: Fridge cabinet is freezing!!

    have fitted as per faulty one removed..only doubt I have is the method of how cappilary fits into side of cabinet..it just slides between skins of case..cant see how stat is sensing temp internaly

    have contacted local service force agent ..no response vie email as yet

    any ideas welcomed

    Was this the original fault ?

    If it was it may be a case of insulation problems and the tube that the capillary slides down has become seperated from the evaporator.

    Impossible to tell as you can’t see it, either that or the stat could be faulty.

    Some of the r600 gassed ones suffer from compressor fatigue….not enough puff! Have changed 2 in 5 weeks for this both less than 18 months old. System runs at -0.1 bar and never moves.

    New compressor sorts it.

    There is also an issue with the temp sensors for the fridge compartment which gives a very similar fault condition. Can’t tell you much more, you need to system connect to eliminate the system.
