    unable to set cycle, program knob continue turning, emw, have asked me to send in pcb & facia board for testing, is there any other internal parts that can cause this fault that I can test before sending off. thanks john

    Control knob broken, have had a few, had one only this morning on a much later WMF760.

    You need to remove the pcb to check, if it is the knob then you just need a new one.

    Just beware, Blank Knob 😉

    Full model number, commercial code needed to identify correct knob, and its a stupid price as well. 😥

    On the last one or two I have had I have managed to set the programme to a mixed wash setting by turning the rotary switch and lining up the knob, then the customer is able to use it for basic washing cycle.

    Cable ties are your friend here 😉 most knobs can be repaired

    yes cable ties will repair this better than fitting a new one. its best to shave off some of the plastic ridges so that the tie gets a better grip. the tie also has to be small enough to allow the ratchet bit to fit through the facia.
