    Customer just been on the phone, VHD944D jumps violently and shows E09 , faulty triac on pcb.

    He says the the brushes etc appear OK, could it just be a broken tacho wire or do the pcb’s on these suffer from this failure?

    Just a loose tacho coil Jim I would say, a regular on these.

    Will suck it and see, has already had one well known local cowboy out to it. He twiddled the control knob a few times, told her it was fixed, took his £35 after his two minute visit and scarpered. :rolls:

    Call came to me via UKWG’s engineer search. 8)
