I bought a White Knight ECO86A (gas) clothes dryer last October, so it’s been in use for just over 8 months now. Fairly heavy use too really, probably at least one load on most days. Over the past few months its developed a really irritating buzzing noise when the burner kicks in. Can only describe it as a fairly loud electronic buzzing noise, like an electric door buzzer. It doesn’t happen all the time, and I cannot predict when it will happen, so I’ve been reluctant to call out an engineer, as the cure to many a fault seems to be the presence of a repairman 😉 . When it doesn’t happen, the dryer is practically whisper quiet… I love it. But, the buzz is ruining this. Sometimes I can kill the buzz by restarting the dry cycle a few times by opening the door and resetting.
Anyone know what this could be in a gas dryer? Worth calling up the White Knight warranty department at this point?
