ParticipantThere’s this guy… pain-in-my-d***… I think he sells s/h appliances. So he’s always bringing me appliances to repair – and not wanting to spend any money on them. I’ve never asked where he gets them from, but I think I will with this Bosch WM.
“It’s dead!” He tells me. Sure is! Then when I took the top off I found an extra PCB wired into the main PCB…
I just moved the pressure switch for a better view.
Very dodgey wiring! Without even mentioning those two red wires just hanging there.
What the H is it? I can see a battery. Is it a tracker? That’s my first guess. What do you guys think?

Good thinking. Would explain why it’s dead. It doesn’t look abused…
I’m gonna ring this guy up and ask where he got it from

Wasnt there a board available on the net sometime back…if you were renting machines out and the customer never paid up, you could simply drive to their homes and using a keyfob type remote it would cut the power to the machine?
Then customer would gave to pay up or else!

IMO The small silver can looks like a crystal, so its got a frequency involved. definitely some form of receiver or emitter.

One could look around for rented washing machine business and ask them if they have lost a Bosch WM recently. The machine is likely to be owned by the rental firm. Are there any other markings on it? Is it security marked? Get a uv light and check it out.
If this guy regularly call you out to look at their machines and not wanting to pay, I would think twice doing the work.
